Biography
I was in the Marine Corps in a barracks in Okinawa Japan and a New York friend showed me a GQ magazine and he said I should be a model. Sounded great, so I basically manifested it. Six months later I got out of the Marine Corp and was in a men’s clothing store in Madison Wis. and this random guy, whom I’ve forgotten, came up to me and asked if I wanted to model in a trunk show for Calvin Klein. Magic, it happened.
I eventually made my way to NYC and with the help of a model named Denis LaMarsh, I was accepted with Zoli. Great agent, great guy.
Pivotal moments for me? There were many but the one of them was in 1984/85 I believe, I got the YSL campaign and that’s really where my career just shot up from there. I got a Gillette campaign shortly after that. After those campaigns I started getting booked by all the department stores.
The best part of it all, you got to travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world and share those experiences with great people.
