Biography

I began my modeling career in 1984 with Nadia Shahrik, who was then the head booker for the men's division at Click Models, New York. At the time, having long hair was quite rare among models, which helped me gain immediate recognition. My first booking was an advertisement for Versace Perfume, photographed by Art Kane. However, my breakthrough came later that year when Albert Watson photographed me for a spread in Italian Vogue

A subsequent photoshoot with Albert Watson for Interview Magazine, owned by Andy Warhol, led to my appearance in The Cars' music video Hello Again, a production by Warhol. Following this collaboration, he sponsored my U.S. work permit.

One of my most cherished experiences was a photography trip to Mexico with Annie Leibovitz, where we shot the poster series for the 1986 FIFA World Cup. After leaving Click, I joined Wilhelmina, New York, in 1986, following a significant change in my look—cutting my hair short. To build a fresh portfolio, I traveled to Milan in early 1987, securing several high-profile jobs, including a spread in L'Uomo Vogue and an advertisement for Valentino, photographed by Fabrizio Ferri.

Between 1987 and the early 1990s, I primarily worked in Europe, participating in editorial shoots and runway shows in Milan and Paris. I was represented by Fashion Models and later Beatrice in Milan, Karin Models and later Glamour in Paris, as well as Nova (Munich), Parker Sed (Hamburg), Time (Zurich and Basel), and New Group (Barcelona and Madrid). During the winter months between 1987 and 1993, I spent time in Miami, initially represented by Irene Marie Models and later by Michelle Pommier.

After a decade on the international modeling circuit, I transitioned away from full-time modeling in 1993 but continued to take on select projects through Wilhelmina while living in Miami. Today, I am exclusively represented by Major Models, New York.
