Biography

Steve Lyon rose to fame as one of the top male models of the 1980s, appearing in VogueGQ, and fronting major campaigns for Versace, Trussardi, Cerruti, and Claude Montana. He was the face of Trussardi’s fragrance, shot by Giovanni Gastel, and appeared in multiple Versace perfume campaigns. Paolo Roversi captured him as the face of Montana for over a decade, and later for Cerruti in the ’90s.

Lyon was also a longtime muse of Victor Skrebneski, appearing in several of his books—including a bold nude portrait for Skrebneski’s final publication, taken when Lyon was 56.

After six years in the mountains writing screenplays and curating his debut photo book ARTIST OF LIGHT, Lyon is back in Los Angeles—now shooting for Flaunt magazine and building a 4,300-square-foot loft studio in the heart of the Fashion District.

He’s also spent over a decade in Africa filming A Journey That Matters, a raw and urgent documentary exposing the rhino poaching crisis.

It’s about time to come off the mountain.
