It all started when my mom called me and said friends wanted me for their 25th anniversary fashion show in our small Swiss Montain village of Altdorf. Back then, I was a talented soccer player with FC Zurich, 19 years old, and a student. I did the Show and within a year, I finished my studies and had to give up soccer due to an accident.

Yves Saint Laurent booked me for his show, The Russian Collection, in Paris! That was my first job in Paris. Zoli invited me to New York and one year later, I appeared as the first Black model ever on the cover of GQ, and soon after, Calvin Klein booked me for his first men's collection with Arthur Elgort. I had many Highlights with my Clients like Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, Kenzo, Gucci, Valentino, Issay Miyake , Piere Balmain etc.

Unforgettable was: “I ran to the most spectacular show of the year: a fashion show in the plane to introduce the first boutique at an altitude of 10,000 meters for the airline Alitalia. Above the clouds, I showed Valentino and Versace.”
